Chint Solar is in consultation with the municipality of Midden Groningen about the development of a solar park at Buitenhuizen. The area in question is 30 hectares and is located west of the existing solar park Midden Groningen, east of sewage treatment and the A7 motorway.

In February 2020, Chint Solar started with the construction of solar park Stadskanaal on Esdoornstraat in Stadskanaal. For the realization of the 101 MWp solar park, Chint Solar will install approximately 245,000 solar panels on 83 hectares of land.

Chint Solar / Astronergy commissions the Goonumbla Solar Farm in Australia

Chint Solar / Astronergy has successfully commissioned the Goonumbla photovoltaic plant in New South Wales. Astronergy supplied 269,235 high efficiency solar modules as well as EPC services for the project and, since its founding in 2006, the company has now successfully delivered over 10GW of solar modules to global projects.

First solar panels installed at Stadskanaal Solar Park – construction Buinerveen Solar Park commenced

Construction of the 101 MWp Stadskanaal Solar Park near Stadskanaal has started in February 2020, and the first panels have been installed on 4 May 2020. The solar park will be connected to TenneT’s high voltage grid network at Meeden and is scheduled to commence full operations in November 2020. In parallel, Chint has started construction of the Buinerveen Solar Park in May 2020. The 45 MWp Buinerveen Solar Park will connect to Stadskanaal Solar Park and is also scheduled to commence full operations in November 2020.

Largest solar park in the Netherlands is now operational

The 103 MWp Midden-Groningen Solar Park at Sappemeer is connected to TenneT’s high voltage grid network and commenced full operations. Chint Solar installed approximately 315.000 solar panels on 117 hectares of land. The solar park will be officially opened with a festive event early next year. The solar park supplies at least 32.000 households with renewable electricity, making it currently the largest solar park in the Netherlands.

Province gives initiators solar field Quadenoord extra homework

he province of Gelderland does not yet intend to grant the permit based on the Nature Conservation Act (Wnb) for the construction of a solarfield at Landgoed Quadenoord. The province wants the initiators to better substantiate two subjects: the nitrogen deposition must be reviewed as a result of the national discussion and the influence on the habitat of the animal species in the area – also outside the intended plan area. The initiators will submit an opinion in which they will discuss these topics.

Solar park Midden-Groningen almost finished

Het Zonnepark Midden-Groningen bij Sappemeer is bijna klaar. Er komen in totaal 316.216 zonnepanelen. In november wordt het zonnepark officieel geopend. Het zonnepark voorziet 32.000 huishoudens van stroom en is daarmee het grootste van Nederland.
