Markelo
Project status
The Markelo solar park was realised on the site of a former asylum seekers’ centre in the Herike-Elsen hamlet in the municipality of Hof van Twente. The site has not been used since 2012. The surface area of the solar park covers almost five hectares. The 6.5 MWp solar park provides green energy to approximately 2,000 households.
The solar park also offers plenty of opportunities for nature. Special nesting baskets have been hung up for birds of prey. Thanks to the raised fencing, small wildlife can pass without any problems.

Chint Solar completes solar parks in Leek, Kampen and Markelo

Chint Solar has successfully completed solar parks in Leek, Kampen and Markelo. The three solar parks provide a total of 54 MWp and supply sustainable energy to more than 15,000 households.
